Desogestrel is an oestrogen-free contraceptive pill (also known as ‘mini pill’) that contains just progesterone to prevent ovulation. Desogestrel gives you a 12 hours “missed-pill’ window, unlike traditional progesterone-only-pills (POPs), which only gives you flexibility of up to 3 hours.
